PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion control device for a combustor that prolongs a life by minimizing energization time of ignition heater and does not cause ignition errors. SOLUTION: The combustor comprises a pot burner 1 having a number of small holes 2 and 5 on a side peripheral wall, a flow straightener 3 with a disk shape arranged above the pot burner 1, an ignition heater 6 provided at the bottom of the pot burner 1, a fan 9 for supplying combustion air to the pot burner, and a flame rod 13 for detecting a flame formed by the pot burner 1. The combustion control device detects the flame by using the flame rod 13 at a point when a preset time T1 has passed since a power energization starting time of the heater 6 upon ignition, stops operation of the heater 6 and a fuel supply device 8, or continues to control the operation.
