PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash nosing which does not come off nor easily drop out of an opening of an eave end of an engagement part of an engaging and an engaged sections of a vertically laid roofing material, nor take much time and effort in construction of the sash nosing. SOLUTION: The sash nosing C is mounted to the opening of an eave end of an engagement part where the engaging part formed at a side end part of the roofing material body and the engaged part formed at the other side end part of the same are engaged. A face plate 6 for closing the opening of the eave end is mounted to the eave side end of a baseplate 8 placed on a roof underlayer. A supporting plate 7 is mounted to stand on the baseplate 8 to support the engagement part by being inserted into the engagement part. Deformation of the opening of the eave end due to snow load is prevented by supporting the part around the opening of the eave end of the engagement part by means of the supporting plate 7. Further, the sash nosing C may be mounted without cutting away the end parts of the engaging and the engaged parts on their eave side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
