PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forcibly air-cooled engine for a motorcycle having an engine body using as part of components a cylinder head, which has an almost horizontal cylinder axis and on at least one of right and left side faces of which a spark plug is mounted, borne on a body frame in a vertically rocking manner, the cylinder head being covered with a shroud forming a distribution passage for distributing forcibly cooling air between the cylinder head and itself, increasing the degree of freedom in arrangement of a high-tension cord and improving the bending durability of the high-tension cord. SOLUTION: An ignition coil 126 to be arranged behind the cylinder head is supported by one of a pair of right and left rear frame members 29, 30 of the body frame 25. The high-tension cord 123 having one end ranging over the ignition coil 126 has the other end turned around into an approximately U-shape frontward to backward of a plug cap 121 to be connected to the spark plug and connected to the plug cap 121.
