METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INSPECTING JOINT PART OF BAND-LIKE MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting a band-like member capable of making the whole of an apparatus low costed and capable of judging whether or not joining is good in real time by simple algorism by unnecessitating a post processor carrying out a complicated operation process by detecting a defect of a joint part with a simple structured device using a plurality of general-purposed low-costed photoelectric sensors and to provide an apparatus for inspecting that. SOLUTION: In a process for winding a band-like member in a forming drum of a tire forming machine, a judged result of presence of a defect in the joint part is output by two kinds of dectction signals of two kinds of ON and OFF from a defect detecter of the joint part for inspecting the joint part of the band-like member. The detection signal and rotary pulse signal from a rotary angle detecter of the forming drum are input to an AND circuit. Output pulse signals are totalized and quality of the joint part is judged by comparing the total value to a specific judging value. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
