PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire extinguishing nozzle which can cope with either one of a linear water jetting, a spray water jetting and a foam water jetting by a single fire extinguishing nozzle, and a portable type extinguisher using the fire extinguishing nozzle. SOLUTION: A cylindrical body 22 is longitudinally slidably attached to the outside of a cylinder head member 16 of a water jetting nozzle 5 which can switch the functions between the linear water jetting and the spray water jetting. The cylindrical body 22 extends forward in a manner to cover a water jetting port 21 of the water jetting nozzle 5 when being moved forward, and retracts to a position where the jetting water stream of the spray water jetting does not hit the cylindrical body 22 when being retracted. At the same time, an air suction port 24 is formed on the cylindrical body 22 at a position behind the water jetting port 21 when the cylindrical body 22 is moved forward. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
