PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a image display device having the improved moisture resistance of a sealing section and high air tightness and reliability. SOLUTION: The image display device comprises: a back substrate 12; a housing 10 having a front substrate 11 arranged by facing the back substrate; and a plurality of pixel display elements 22 provided on inside of the casing. The front substrate and the back substrate are sealed through a sealing layer 33 by a peripheral section. The sealing layer contains a low-melting point material and antimony. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
