<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device including a light source that emits first light, a first material nearly transparent to the first light and arranged so as to receive at least a part of the first light, and particles of a second material dispersed in the first material. <P>SOLUTION: A second material has a larger refractive index than the refractive index of a first material in a wavelength of the first light.
