PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder resin composition for toner and toner having excellent low temperature fixability, anti-offsetting property and development resistance. SOLUTION: The binder resin for the toner and the toner comprising the binder resin for a toner comprise: a polyol resin (A) obtained by reacting at least a bisphenol type epoxy resin with a compound having at least one active hydrogen group per molecule; and a urethane-modified polyol resin (UA) obtained by subjecting a polyol resin to urethane extension in the presence of a polyisocyanate.
