PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CDMA wireless system capable of controlling transmission power in accordance with a radio wave propagation environment. SOLUTION: An MS (mobile station) 20 (BTS 10) transmits a transmission signal representing a first frame by a first transmission power. The BTS 10 (MS20) receives the transmission signal as a received signal. The transmission and received signals include a plurality of pilot bits whereby the BTS 10 (MS20) takes synchronization of the first frame and a transmission power control bit whereby the BTS 10 (MS20) requests the adjustment of a second transmission power when the BTS 10 (MS20) transmits the second frame to the MS20(BTS10). When a radio wave propagation environment on a wireless communication channel between the BTS 10 and the MS 20 is bad, an error occurs in a result when the BTS 10 (MS20) receives the received signal and demodulates / decodes the received signal. When the transmission power control bit requests reduction in the second transmission power, the BTS 10 (MS20) calculates a degree of coincidence denoting the coincident degree between the transmission and the received signals on the basis of a plurality of the pilot bits, compares the degree of coincidence with a prescribed value, and decreases the second transmission power on the basis of the result of comparison to transmit the second frame to the MS20(BTS10).
