HEAT LABEL STRIPPABLE WITH ALKALINE WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label which is easily stripped off from a bottle or the like by washing with alkaline water. SOLUTION: The rear side of a base material 1 is coated with delayed tack paste 4 containing a material for roughening a coating surface and a material for reacting with an alkaline solution to produce gas to prepare the label. An alkaline washing liquid easily penetrates the label at the time of washing with the alkaline washing liquid because a gap is formed between the layer of the delayed tack paste 4 and a body having the label stuck thereto due to addition of the material for roughening the coating surface. Gas produced by reaction with the alkaline solution widens the gap between the delayed tack paste 4 and the body having the label stuck thereto further to accelerate penetration of the alkaline washing liquid, and thus the label can be stripped off without leaving the delayed tack paste on the surface of the body like a bottle.
