PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preferable vibration control effect in the realization of a prescribed building vibration control. SOLUTION: A brace for improving earthquake-proofing property in a rigid structure comprising a vertical member 1 and a horizontal member 2 longer than the vertical member 1 is formed of a sideways V-shaped brace 5, and the converging end 5b of the brace 5 is connected to the horizonal member 2 side through a damper 4 while a pair of free ends of the brace 5 are connected to the vertical member 1 side.
