THERMOSETTING RESIN HAVING BENZOXAZINE STRUCTURE, RESIN COMPOSITION AND CURED MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new resin excellent in heat resistance and mechanical characteristics of its cured material and improving flame retardant property, and a resin composition containing the same. SOLUTION: The thermosetting resin has a biphenylene structure and benzoxazine structure, expressed by formula (1) [wherein, R1is a 1-10C organic group; R2is H or a 1-6C hydrocarbon; and (n) is 1-10 integer]. The thermosetting resin composition can be prepared by blending another benzoxazine resin, or an epoxy resin or a polyamide resin with the same resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
