PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely cool clothes and a drum without conducting a cooling operation more than it needs. SOLUTION: Clothes are dried by starting a drying operation and supplying hot air in a drum. When a prescribed time "ta" is elapsed after starting operation, the temperature of intake air supplied to the drum is detected by an intake air thermistor. The time "tb" of a cooling operation is set according to the temperature of the intake air. The clothes are cooled after finishing the drying operation by starting a cooling operation and supplying cold air to the drum.
