PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a detergent solution from leaking from a detergent dissolving chamber during a dissolution step at the process of forming a high-concentration detergent solution. SOLUTION: The washing machine is equipped with a box-like detergent dissolving chamber 45, which reservoirs water, having a detergent agitating blade 50 at a bottom and is opened at an upper surface, a driving means 71 for driving the detergent agitating blade 50, and a water supply means for supplying water to the detergent dissolving chamber, an overflow edge 45d for flooding a solvent for a detergent is provided at an upper part of the detergent dissolving chamber, a syphon water circulating mechanism 47 communicating at a level lower than the overflow edge is provided at the bottom of the detergent dissolving chamber, and a flow control member 47d is provided on a lower outer peripheral wall of a syphon cap 47a of the syphon water circulating mechanism. The flow control member is provided in opposed relation to a flowing direction of a detergent solution formed by agitating the detergent and water by the agitating blade in the detergent dissolving chamber.
