PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bait method for exterminating termite or suppressing or inhibiting the growth of termite without causing adverse effect such as toxicity to man and beast to prevent the termite damage on wood or a woody material used in a wooden house. SOLUTION: The exterminating and growth suppressing method for termite comprises the addition of a termite attractant at regular time interval to a bait material obtained by impregnating a growth-suppressing bait agent in a supporting material to obtain the bait material containing at least one kind of the bait agent impregnated in the material, the addition of at least one kind of termite attractant composed of a substance extracted from natural materials or a chemically synthesized substance to the bait material, and the use of the obtained material.
