<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a train accident avoidance system more accurately judging whether an obstruction to a train or not and automatically transmitting emergency information to the running train. <P>SOLUTION: A TV camera is provided to watch a trail railway 13 facing a predetermined platform 11. A storage device for storing an image signal is connected to an output of the TV camera. A comparator circuit 18 is connected to the output of the TV camera 2 and detects if there is a change in the image. A judgment means 4 judges whether or not a changed image signal represents the obstruction to the train when there is a change in the image. When the judgment means 4 judges the obstruction to the train, an emergency information outputting means 5 outputs emergency information for stopping the running train 14, and the train 14 is applied with quick braking and stops before the platform 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
