<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition for a transmission line coating composed of a non-halogen material which elutes no heavy metal compound nor phosphorus compound and does not generate much corrosive gas when discarded, has enhanced flame retardance and excellent heat resistance and is excellent in oil resistance and shrinkage characteristics at a high temperature and to provide an electric wire, cable, coated optical fiber, optical fiber cord and optical cable coated therewith. <P>SOLUTION: This resin composition for a transmission line coating is obtained by blending 70-280 pts. mass of a metal hydrate to 100 pts. mass of a resin component comprising 15-85 mass % of an ethylene-based copolymer, 15-85 mass % of a polyester elastomer and 60 mass % or less of an acrylic rubber. An insulated wire, cable, coated optical fiber, optical fiber cord and optical fiber cable coated therewith are also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
