<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively support an optical diffusion plate of a backlight and sheets, to certainly prevent them from being deformed and, at the same time, to achieve cost reduction by decreasing the number of components. <P>SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal display device provided with a plurality of straight fluorescent lamps arranged in parallel in a lamp chamber, a reflection plate arranged on the rear surface of the lamp chamber, a plurality of resinous reflection members respectively arranged between the fluorescent lamps on the reflection plate, an optical diffusion plate arranged on the front surface of the fluorescent lamps and a liquid crystal panel arranged on the front surface of the optical diffusion plate, supporting protrusions to support the optical diffusion plate or the like are integrally formed on several places of the reflection members in the corner rather than the central part of the liquid crystal panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
