PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge with improved dust resistance. SOLUTION: The disk cartridge is provided with: an outer shell 1 having an outer side head access port 9; a shutter 4 for opening/closing the outer side head access port 9; an inner shell 2 which has an inner side head access port 16, houses a recording disk 3 insides and is housed to be turnable within the outer shell 1; and inner shell turning means 20, 43 and 46 for turning the inner shell 2 based upon the movement of the shutter 4. While the disk cartridge is not used, the inner side head access port 16 is positioned away from the outer side head access port 9, the outer side head access port 9 is closed by the shutter 4, and the inner side head access port 16 is closed with a part of the outer shell 1. While the disk cartridge is used, the outer side head access port 9 is opened by the movement of the shutter 4, and the inner shell 2 is turned to a position where the inner side head access port 16 is matched with the outer side head access port 9 via the inner shell turning means by the movement of the shutter 4.
