摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ethylenic polymer which has good flow characteristics and excellent thermal stability. SOLUTION: A method for producing the ethylenic polymer is characterized by polymerizing ethylene in the presence of a metallocene catalyst comprising (a) an organic metal compound containing the group 4 transition metal of the periodic table, (b) a protonic acid, Lewis acid, ionized ionic compound, a Lewis acid compound or laminar clay compound and its organic cation-treated compound, and (c) an organic aluminum compound and an azo compound having a decomposition-activating energy of≤160 kj/mol under conditions comprising a polymerization pressure of 40 to 400 MPa and a polymerization temperature ranging from the melting point of the polymer to 300°C.
