PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold the final piece to a conveyable length even when a paper-out condition occurs halfway through printing in a receipt printer using a continuous paper with no timing mark, and to suppress increase in the length of a receipt to be issued. SOLUTION: In the receipt printer using the continuous paper on which no timing mark for positioning of printing/cutting is printed, printing letters, images and the like, and having a means for conveying a receipt cut into a certain length at a cutting part, a recovery part for the final piece is provided on this side of the paper cutting part of the receipt printer and a fractional paper with a short length can be recovered to suppress increase in the length of the receipt to be issued.
