PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disaster prevention bed guard, covering the upper side of a bed with a shelter in the case of an earthquake or on purpose to protect the body on the bed from a fallen thing from above in the case of an earthquake. SOLUTION: This disaster prevention bed guard includes semi-circular shields 2, 3 pivoted on right and left sides of a frame 1 and rotating shafts 4, 5. The guard has rotation stoppers with a shock absorber, and link connection is made by a claw 10 at the central part of the rotating shaft 4, a claw 11 at the central part of the rotating shaft 5, and a connecting rod 12. A link end 14 coming into contact with a claw 13 of the rotating shaft 4 is provided with a spring 15 connected to the frame. The guard has a spherical plumb 19 connected to the opposite side end 17 through a supporting point 16 by a chain or the like and seated on a cylindrical bed 18 whose head is recessed semi-spherically. The guard has a gas spring 8 and a spring 9 connected to the central parts of the shields 2, 3 and the frame end point, and a link end 17 is provided with a rope-like member 21 connected thereto through a guide 20.
