The lifting device has guide pulley mechanism (3) fixed on the crane and a block and tackle (4) with housing (41) and first load hook (47). The housing can be fixed on the crane side by a locking device (7) mounted on the housing which contains cable pulleys (42, 43) which are mounted on a multi-part shaft (44,45). At least one cable pulley (43) can be operated independently of the other cable pulleys so that it can execute a lifting movement whilst the other pulleys (42) are fixed by the locking device. A second load hook (48) can be fixed on the lifting cable pulley. Independent claim describes block and tackle for lifting device with locking device (7) on housing to fix latter on the crane side.
