PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic digital camera which forms and displays a three-dimensional image of a solid object to be photographed.

SOLUTION: The stereoscopic digital camera 1 has a three-dimensional image former 6 which composes static images of a solid object photo-taken at different angles and held in an image memory 5, thereby forming a three-dimensional image of the solid object. The formed three-dimensional image may be displayed on a crystalline display 7 under the control of a display controller 8.
