PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting device for a glass wall surface whose strength can be increased without impairing the environment in a building. SOLUTION: One end of rib glass body 20, which is composed of rib glasses 20a∼20c laid vertically along the glass wall surface, is coupled to the glass wall surface 10 which is composed of a plurality of butt-joint face-plate glasses. The rib glass body 20 is mounted on the upper side (above the floor) of the height direction. Also, a supporting structure 30 composed of supporting members 31, 33 is cantilevered to the ceiling, while the other end of the rib-glass body 20 is suspended by the supporting structure 30.
