PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absolute value reproducing method for an autonomic control end standard or an autonomic length maintaining structure for easily executing temperature uniformizing in an arbitrary temperature environment even if no high-accuracy temperature reproducing installation is available, in reproducing the absolute size values of the autonomic control end standard or the autonomic length maintaining structure. SOLUTION: According to this method for reproducing an absolute value of the autonomic control end standard or the autonomic length maintaining structure, the end standard or the maintaining structure is housed in a constant temperature case 2 of a portable constant temperature device 1. Prior to starting to control the end standard or the structure, temperature is uniformized, a displacement measuring surface member is displaced by being driven by a variable actuator and controlled to be substantially the same as a valued absolute value. Then, the end standard or the structure is separated from the temperature device 1 and then independently used. Reproduction of absolute value of the end standard or the structure can be executed easily with high accuracy on the user side even if installations such as high-accuracy constant temperature chamber, etc. are not available.
