PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compose a gas controller with a ring like thermal power adjusting dial arranged around an igniting/extinguishing button so that thermal power of a gas burner can be accurately changed within a certain range. SOLUTION: A plurality of communication passages 15 opened with mutual space in between is formed in upstream sides of gas outflow parts of valve casings 11a and 11b. The thermal power adjusting dial 7 is added to the valve casings, and a cylindrical rotor 61 rotating in synchronism with rotation of the dial 7 is inserted in a gas passage 2b. In an outer circumferential face of the rotor, a plurality of long grooves 62 allowing communication between the gas passage and each communication passage are formed so they are mutually deviated in a circumferential direction in correspondence to each of the communication passages. A gas flow rate is increased and decreased in response to the number of matching long grooves and communication passages by rotating the rotor. At least one knock position for generating a click is provided in a rotational predetermined position of the thermal power adjusting dial. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
