PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain miniaturization, cost reduction, and shortening of a working time and to easily retain adhesion between a lid member and a vacuum drying tank. SOLUTION: This vacuum drier is so constituted that the lid member 36 of the vacuum drying tank 7 is provided in an upper part of a work retaining position where a work retainer means 35 retains a work 8 and takes it in/out from the vacuum drying tank 7, and the lid of the vacuum drying tank 7 is closed at the same time when the work 8 is inserted in the vacuum drying tank 7. This drier is also provided with a support means tiltably supporting the vacuum drying tank 7 and, when the lid member 36 is pushed against it, the vacuum drying tank 7 can follows it to closely contact with the lid member 36.
