PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat exchange capacity of an evaporator in refrigerant cycle equipment whose high pressure side is operated by a supercritical pressure. SOLUTION: This refrigerant cycle equipment has a compressor 10, a gas cooler 154, an expansion valve 156, and the evaporator 157 connected annularly in order and has the high pressure side operated by the supercritical pressure. This equipment is provided with an intermediate heat exchanger 160 for exchanging the heat of the refrigerant outflowing from the gas cooler 154 with that of the refrigerant outflowing from the evaporator 157, the opening of the expansion valve 156 is adjusted based on the temperature and the pressure of of the refrigerant in the low pressure side of an outlet of the intermediate heat exchanger 160 to control the degree of the superheat in the outlet side of the intermediate heat exchanger 160, and the degree of the superheat flowing the intermediate heat exchanger 160 is set small.
