A socket outlet insert (1) has a longitudinal slider (8) inserted into an electrical shock protection device, the main body (9) of which has two side-arms for sealing of the plug apertures in the insert for insertion of plug pins. On the main body or at least on one side arm of the slider is formed integrally at least one L-shaped spring arm (12,13) which functions in conjunction with at least one cam (5,6) of the socket outlet insert under tension or pressure. The spring force of the spring arm effects an automatic re-setting of the longitudinal slider from the open into the closed position.
