<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a print control system wherein the need to increase speeds in cooperation with a host environment for the purpose of enhancing performance is difficult to meet effectively, if there are only names of documents available, because in multiple cases it is a host that does processing, particularly for PDF and the like, with the printing environment of a host computer (the name and version of OS, the names and versions of applications, driver versions) added to history information. <P>SOLUTION: The print control system which is capable of controlling jobs received via a predetermined communication medium transferred to a printer includes a means for retrieving host information out of the jobs; a means for registering the information into the history information of the printer; a designating means for designating the partner of an external device which is in communication via the predetermined communication medium; and a transmitting means for transmitting the history information of the printer to the external device of the partner designated by the designating means after printing the jobs received is complete. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
