<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and an information processing method which can convert information to voices having features different from each other and thereby can easily tell an user from which apparatus information such as alarm is outputted even when there are a plurality of voice output devices equipped with a voice synthesizing function. <P>SOLUTION: Voice data outputted from another voice output device are inputted from a communication system 8 and stored in a RAM 7. A central processing unit 1 extracts amount of features on inputted voice data. Further the central processing unit 1 prepares voice data having amount of features different from extracted amount of features by utilizing a dictionary 51 for synthesizing voice or the like stored in a storage device 5.
