PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of half bridge circuits and driving lines used in a bipolar-driving type stepping motor. SOLUTION: The same half bridge circuit is connected to a common terminal connected with one end of a coil with a different phase of a motor, and another half bridge circuit is connected to the other end of a coil with a different phase. Control is performed so that a common terminal may alternately repeat a push status and a pull status in a much shorter cycle than one step. Furthermore, control is performed so that the other end of the coil which is not the common terminal may switch the push status and the pull status for each step. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
