<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar for easily and surely detecting a stationary object and also suppressing pairing errors. <P>SOLUTION: In an FM-CW (frequency modulated continuous wave) radar for detecting relative distance or relative velocity of a target from the frequencies of respective projecting parts appearing in a frequency spectrum of a beat signal in an incoming and an outgoing modulation sections produced due to the same target, the moving velocity of a mobile object such as a vehicle mounted with the radar is measured, the frequency difference of the projection parts appearing in the frequency spectrum of the beat signal of the incoming and outgoing modulation sections corresponding to the stationary object is inversely calculated, and pairs corresponding to the frequency difference are preferentially extracted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
