A grounding system for a fiberscope utilizing an electrically conductive bra id surrounding at least a portion of a flexible hollow tube containing fiber optic bundles. The fiberscope also includes an electrically conductive membe r surrounding the bundle end. The system further possesses connections between the electrically conductive braid and the end member. An electrically conductive ferrule underlies and links the fiberscope housing and the electrically conductive braid. A conductor connects to the ferrule, extendin g to the exterior portion of the housing for accessibility to the user.</SDOAB >
