摘要 990,212. Concrete mixers. P. AUGUST. March 15, 1963 [March 16, 1962], No. 10422/63. Heading B1C. [Also in Division B8] A concrete mixer of the type in which the mixing container 10 takes the form of a guided skip-hoist discharging into a storage hopper 55, is mounted upon a framework which can be tilted about a pivot-point 77 for transfer to a travelling carriage. As shown in Fig. 4, the mixer frame is pivoted at 70 to the end of the carriage, which is jacked up at 72, 73 and provided with retractable side extension members as at 69 carrying between them a cable guide roller 71. Cables 78, 80 are attached to the mixer frame at 79, 81 and their other ends secured to coaxial winches 75 and 76, Fig. 3 (not shown). By operating the winches in opposite directions the mixer may be tilted on , to or off the travelling carriage. Alternatively a differential winch and single cable may be used. The mixing container 10 is raised and lowered by a reversible motor 18, being guided by rollers 9, 12 on rails 5, 7, 8 and having an independent motor 14 for rotating the agitator (not depicted). Water is supplied in metered quantities by the displacement batching device 25 described in Specification 952,566, and is distributed across the width of the mixing container by the perforated header 50. The cycle of operation of the mixing container is automatic. Water discharge is initiated by mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical or hydraulic linkage upon the container arriving at. its bottom position ; a switch 52 arrests its ; downward movement until sufficient water is available in the discharge tank, and a switch 19 stops the winding motor 18 when the cable 17 becomes slack. The container remains for a pre-selected time in its lowermost position, during which time solid materials are loaded into the charging aperture 15, and is then raised. If the storage hopper 55 is full, its weight actuates a switch 58 and the container is stopped in its upward travel by a switch 59. When the hopper can take additional material, the container completes its upward movement, is discharged through the discharge opening 16 by tilting caused by the configuration of the guide rails, and returns to its lower position.
