The aim of the invention is to obtain, using signal technology and on the basis of the output signals of an acoustic/electric transducer system (30), a desired directional characteristic or a direction-dependent amplification function in relation to the direction of incidence of acoustic signals arriving at said transducer system (30). To this end a first signal (B) is produced on the output side of the system (30) with an amplification function (Ve<->) which is inverse to the desired amplification function. Via an adaptable transmission member (34) this signal is combined with a second output signal (A) of the transducer system (30) in such a way that, as combination result, the function (Ve<->) which is inverse to the desired amplification function (Ve) is inversely applied to the second signal (A). By observation of the combination result (C) and automatic adjustment of the transmission member (34) achievement of the desired amplification function (Ve) is optimized. |
