IMAGE RECORDER AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING RECORDING THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhancing the efficiency of printing because it is necessary to repeatedly request JPEG data corresponding to a part of data which is not stored in a memory to a digital camera and to repeatedly develop the image by receiving and decoding the data.

SOLUTION: A PD printer records the JPEG data by receiving it from a DSC. The printer divides a region of a memory into a plurality of blocks and stores the received JPEG data in the memory by each of the blocks and performs the printing by extracting the JPEG data stored in the memory and developing it to the image data. When the printer judges that the JPEG data to be developed is not left in the memory (S3), the printer requests the JPEG data corresponding to at least one block to the DSC within a maximum data transferring rate from the DSC in addition to the JPEG data to be developed (S4).
