PRODUCTION METHOD OF ACRYLONITRILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing acrylonitrile, enabling easy incineration of the extraction liquid of a quenching column without using an ammonium sulfate removal process and the discharge of sulfur oxides while keeping the selectivity of acrylonitrile.

SOLUTION: The method for the production of acrylonitrile by the vapor-phase catalytic ammoxidation reaction of propane is carried out by keeping the molar ratio of organic acid/unreacted ammonia in the gas produced by the ammoxidation reaction to 1.0-3.0.
