<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered product which shows good dimensional accuracy and high resistance to heat shocks, can be produced even when its shape is complicated, can be made large-sized, and can be formed into a porous body having fine voids or a compact body; and a process for efficiently manufacturing the sintered product. <P>SOLUTION: The sintered product is formed by heat-sintering a molded product molded by filling a mixture containing a powder P and a binder B into a mold. An additive 20 in a supercritical fluid state which turns into a gas inside the mold, is dissolved in the binder B in the mixture. This can simplify the structure of an apparatus for molding the molded product, reduces production cost, increases molding accuracy of the sintered product and production efficiency, shortens working time, improves product yield and enables manufacturing of a large-sized sintered product showing high resistance to heat shocks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
