<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a photoelectric conversion element and a solar cell which are low-cost and have good transducing efficiency by using semiconductor particles sensitized by a dye having a specific partial structure. <P>SOLUTION: The photoelectric transducer uses oxide semiconductor particles sensitized by a methine-based dye represented by general formula 1 (wherein: A1, A2 and A3 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent; X1, X2 and X3 each independently represent an imino group, an alkylimino group, an arylimino group, an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or a selenium atom; Y represents an aromatic hydrocarbon residue which may have a substituent excluding a structure expressed by salicylic acid and poly-substituted hydroxybenzene, or an organic complex residue which may have a substituent; R1 represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic hydrocarbon residue which may have a substituent, an aromatic hydrocarbon residue which may have a substituent, or a heterocyclic residue which may have a substituent; and n represents an integer of 0-4.). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
