<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound generating device with which a user is not confused when a stop of the sound emission of all tracks is set. <P>SOLUTION: The musical sound generating device stores performance information on a plurality of tracks and generates a musical sound based on performance information. The device is provided with a mute setting means setting sound emission and the stop of sound emission of the tracks and a muting control means controlling sound emission and the stop of the sound emission of the respective tracks.
