<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a string protection material, realizing the high vibration damping performance and reduction of weight of a racket while maintaining enough strength, and to improve the degree of freedom for designing the racket by the string protective material. <P>SOLUTION: This string protection material 20 includes a cylindrical part 21 for inserting a string S, and a base part 22 projected on the cylindrical part 21.
