PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery in which a rivet terminal and a current collecting connector are firmly connected and the contact resistance value is reduced. SOLUTION: The battery comprises: an insulation sealing material disposed on both inner and outer peripheral parts of an opening hole formed in a battery outer package and having a through hole; a current collecting connector disposed over the inner-side insulation sealing material and having a protrusion hanging down along terminal holes; and a rivet terminal having a rivet part projecting from a flange, the rivet part 7b passing through the through holes of the inner and outer insulation sealing materials 2, 4 and a rivet terminal hole of the current collecting connector from outside of the battery outer package. The rivet part 7a is caulked to press the protrusion 2d, and the rivet part 7a and the protrusion 2d are welded to each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
