CORE MATERIAL FOR ALKALINE STORAGE BATTERY, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD AND ALKALINE STORAGE BATTERY USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core material capable of structuring an alkaline storage battery more reliable than a conventional one, its manufacturing method, and an alkaline storage battery using it.

SOLUTION: The core material is manufactured by a method including a process of nickel-plating a first core material 11 containing impurities 12 dissolving at a positive electrode potential. Or, the core material is manufactured by a method including a process of alloying the impurities exposed on the surface of the first core material by putting the first core material containing nickel and containing the impurities dissolving at the positive electrode potential under heat treatment in an atmosphere in which nickel is not oxidized.
