PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrostatic charge image developing toner capable of controlling the shape and particle size distribution of particle agglomerates, imparting sharpness to the particle size distribution of toner particles, capable of attaining the objective circularity in a short period of time and ensuring a small amount of coarse powder produced in aging. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the toner including an agglomeration step in which polymer primary particles are agglomerated in a dispersion containing the particles and a colorant and an aging step in which fusion between particles in the resulting particle agglomerates is caused, polymer primary particles are additionally added in the agglomeration step.
