PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit a communication range with a simple configuration in the case of transmitting a signal that searches for other equipment around by short range radio communication. SOLUTION: Communication equipment which communicates with other communication equipment existing around by radio is provided with a transmission processing means 13 for processing a transmission signal, an antenna 17 for radioing an output of the transmission processing means 13, and an output regulating means 16 for attenuating the output of the transmission processing means 13 to output the attenuated output from the antenna 17 when the transmission processing means 13 transmits a search signal for searching for the other communication equipment in a prescribed state.
