PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a proper contrast image which makes full use of the image photographed by an image sensor, having the characteristics of a wider dynamic range by correcting a sensor signal of each pixel outputted from the image sensor to match the display region, without causing response delays. SOLUTION: The device for correcting the output of the image sensor is provided with a means of temporarily and concentratedly storing the sensor signal of each pixel successively outputted from the image sensor to an image memory; a means of detecting the minimum value and the maximum value of the sensor signal of each pixel outputted from the image sensor in the display region which projects the image photographed by the image sensor on the screen; a means of offseting the sensor signal of each corresponding pixel retrieved from the image memory so as to make the the minimum value of the detected sensor signal the lower limiting value of the display region; and a means of executing gain adjustment of the sensor signal of each corresponding pixel retrieved from the image memory so as to make the output range from the minimum value to the maximum value of the detected sensor signal to become the maximum width or a prescribed width in the display region.
