PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device equipped with the objective lens driving mechanism of an axial sliding rotary head, with which the disturbance of the attitude of a lens holder and an objective lens caused by external vibration by optimizing the center-of-gravity position of the entire optical head device. SOLUTION: The objective lens driving mechanism 4 of the optical head device 1 is an axial sliding rotary type, a weight member 7 is attached to the weight attaching surface 35 of a frame 3 to adjust weight balance, and the center of gravity of the entire optical head device 1 is moved from an A position to a B position to coincide with the position of the spindle 64 of a holder support member 6. The position B of the center of gravity is a position to which external vibration from the frame 3 is most hardly transmitted. Thus, a lens holder 5 is stably driven by reducing the influence of the external vibration to the lens holder 5 supported by the spindle 64. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
