PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for detecting a sealed condition which can correctly determine whether or not a lid is sealed well by a simple structure in a simple manner. SOLUTION: A cup 4 formed with an opening on one of sides and having the opening sealed with a lid seal 3 is provided. A detection roller 23 for pressing the lid seal 3 and a detection roller rise measurement sensor 26 for detecting a deformation volume of the cup 4 including the seal 3 are provided, to determine whether the cup 4 is sealed well with the lid seal 3 based on the deformation volume.
